Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life. I have worked for the healthcare sector for many years and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the home. Therapeutic activities are available for all our residents including those living with dementia; these include normal recreational events.
Welcome to Broadway Nursing Home – Blackpool
We are NAPA members, which means each month, we receive a variety of activities and ideas; our activities coordinators can also get trained and develop their skills as well-being coordinators. Residents can also purchase individual telephone services/Sky TV packages for their bedrooms if they wish to do so. Yes, we assess changes in residents eating habits and when there is cause for concern the local SALT department visit the residents concerned and advise what is required.
I, unfortunately, have been unable to visit my mum as I live so far away but it is so nice to have photos and updates on Facebook. I can’t thank the manager and her staff enough for the wonderful care they give to my mum and other residents. These last ten months have been really hard not being able to visit Mum in the usual way, but knowing how lovely everyone is at Broadway and that they really care for the residents has made things a little easier and less stressful. These are our core values and combined with our excellent facilities we ensure a comprehensive care service is delivered in a non-institutionalised setting.

Domestic and Maintenance staff ensure the home is a safe and clean environment at all times, following the regulations set byCOSHH,HSEandIPC. All of our bedrooms are bright and airy, and residents are encouraged to personalise their bedroom as much as possible so that it feels like a home away from home. At Broadway Nursing, we can accommodate older people requiring nursing care, personal care, and end of life care. A comprehensive care plan is formulated for each resident which reflects their individual needs. Providing accommodation for up to 48 individuals who require Nursing, Residential or Dementia care.
Activities & Services
We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us. Benedicta is a Registered Manager at Broadway Residential Care Home with several years of care experience. Her main interest and experience are in managing successful care homes housing elderly and frail Residents. Benedicta is very experienced in care homes and is committed to providing a high–quality service.
We always aim to deliver bespoke care to those who live at our home. Our life enhancement department endeavors to ensure each resident has ample opportunities for both group and individually tailored activities including independent activities and room visits. Broadway Healthcare Center offers both Asian and American cultured activities to please our residents needs. Well-led, spacious rooms and a caring atmosphere the home is now indeed dad’s home! Here at Broadway Manor, our goal is to provide individual care to improve the life of each resident.
And then, between lunch and supper, it’s mid-afternoon tea time with mouth-watering freshly baked cakes that our residents and team members enjoy together, making afternoon tea an activity in itself. After supper, during the night, lighter meal options are provided in the evening, and fresh fruit and snacks are available throughout the day to keep resident’s nourished, energised and satisfied. Lunch is finished with delicious desserts, all prepared on-site by our chef teams. Our chef teams use great ingredients to provide freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals based on regularly changing, seasonal menus.
Our app-based platform gives you exclusive access to open shifts at local nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted livings, and hospitals. You choose when and where to work, while facilities fill their open shifts with great nurses like you - it's a win-win. Care, activities, facilities and food are all major focuses at our home. It is important that each of these services are tailored to the individual needs and preferences of residents, which is why we employ a wonderful team of professionals who can deliver support using a warm and person-centred approach. Specialist teams are on hand day and night to provide emotional and practical support to our residents, making sure they feel completely at home in their environment. Residential care is long-term care provided to adults who are staying in a residential setting rather than in their own home. Our homes provide accommodation, meals, daily activities and personal care such as washing and eating.
A varied menu of tasty and nutritious cuisine is prepared on-site by a team of skilled chefs, and special dietary requirements are always catered for. Residents can enjoy their meals in our elegant dining rooms, which are set to a restaurant standard. Bariatric care is provided in both a residential and nursing setting depending on a resident’s needs. Our teams are trained to support bariatric residents with their mobility, provide the right type of care to meet individual needs , as well as supporting bariatric residents with their daily tasks. Our chef teams make sure dietary requirements and plans are followed whilst also being considerate to any preferences our bariatric residents may have.
